Brand Storytelling for coaches, consultants,  business owners + do-good organizations on a mission to transform their world

ONE relationship at a time

Why Storyhouse Fifteen?

It's a name that comes from the 15th chapter of an ancient story about a wise and selfless shepherd.

Like that shepherd who leaves his field of 99 in order to find the one lost sheep, the work we're doing at Storyhouse Fifteen isn't really about accolades or profits or fame. And no matter how many people find their way to our  community, we'll never ever forsake the one just to keep the many.

We're not here to scale our way to multi-millions. We're not even setting out to become the next big name. We just want to show up with all our gifts and strengths so that we can help people like you keep changing the world - one relationship and one story at a time.

Since 2016, I’ve worked with more than 500 solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and brands. From alignment and clarity coaching to message strategy and storytelling, I’ve helped every single client cut through the noise to make room for the message that needs to emerge.

I’ve spent decades earning the types of degrees and skills that still make mom proud, but the biggest truth I’ve discovered in my nearly 50 years on this earth is that everything I do boils down to my ability to do three things well...

1.

Show up with love

And not the woo-woo kind of love, either. I'm talking about the self-sacrificing, going-to-the-mattresses kind of love that believes wholeheartedly in that ancient maxim -- first shall be last and last shall be first.

2.

lead with grace

Because when you do this first, you create space for others to show up as 100% real. Grace prioritizes forgiveness and understanding, mercy and love, and there's no other world I wish to live in than the one that's been colored by the power of grace.

3.

Examine everything

No question is off limits, and no question is ever too big. Truth is never afraid to be challenged and sifted, so you'll never see me run away from hard-to-reconcile ideas. Instead, I'll embrace the wrestling because it's here in the close-up examination where the greatest growth always happens.

I once became a real-life Joan of Arc as I battled long and hard against 15,000 hogs. I learned way too much about industrialized agriculture and even more about the power of words, and I have those piggies to thank for leading me to this career.

My favorite book as a kid was Harry the Dirty Dog. The power of transformation apparently spoke to me then, too.

I got married at 19 and am still married to that man today (27+ years later). We’ve done some crazy things together, including hitchhiking our way through France, bunking in an almost-brothel in Paris, and raising 4 amazing kids.

I’ve played piano since I was 8 years old and secretly wish I had become an opera singer. In fact, I’ve convinced myself that if writing had not found me first, I’d be traveling the world, giving all the Pavarotti-sound-a-likes a run for their money. (Of course, all the patrons would need to be tone-deaf to appreciate my singing skills.)

I once found a 4-karat diamond ring that had been lost in the sand. The woman who had lost it had surrendered to despair, and although I didn’t know her, I knew I couldn’t let her give up. I crouched down and dug through the hot Bahamian sand, searching for any glimmer of gold or diamond. “It’s lost forever,” she kept saying. Twenty minutes later, I proved her wrong. I knew determination would win the day. It almost always does.
